I'm so horrible at updating the non-baby blog! BUT this will all change soon. January 1 is just around the corner and I plan to get back on the BFL wagon that month. I gained 65lbs during my pregnancy and only dropped 40. It doesn't help that I continue to eat horribly and have not worked out since my 1st trimester! YIKES

I joined a new gym (crap, still need to cancel my old membership!) that is open 24 hours, has daycare and TANNING! I have changed my work schedule to 9-3 so I should have no problem leaving work, hitting the gym, tanning and then picking Beata on my way home. I can then have a small protein shake to hold me over till dinner. Now that I am home before Rob, I also can have a balanced meal prepared for us with leftovers for lunch the next day. I've gotten pretty darn good at planning the meals for the week and buying the necessities on Sunday!

But, until January 12th comes along, I plan to enjoy my egg nogg and holiday treats! I totally missed out last year thanks to the morning sickness!!!

MIA forever! A friend of mine just brought to my attention how out of date my blog has gotten! For details of what been going on in my life over the past 8 months you'll have to visit my baby blog!

Seeing as the date is VERY near, I'm sure to have photos and details posted soon to both sites. In the meantime, here is an updated shot of my little skittle! She's about to embark on her first cruise to Alaska. I'm 30 years old and I've never been to Alaska!!! Skittle and her family, along with a few other friends of mine, will be out to visit very shortly for Labor Day. We plan on pigging out on crabs and passing our new daughter around.

Her eyes are getting a little darker but they are still so captivating!

Seeing as I have put on over 50 POUNDS during this pregnancy, I hope that this blog will be filled with my fabulous progress as I take it all back off. I tortured myself the other day in order to take measurements of all the plump areas on my body. I will be hiding those numbers from the world until I can show a progress update. I'm really crossing my figers for a mild fall so that I can get out for some nice long walks with the little one.

For many more photos from the recent weddings and showers, you'll have to visit our picasa site.

My white trash moment...

So we are having sleet and ice issues today. In DC, that means that the roads are a mess and the idiots driving are causing accidents. It's best to wait it out or stay home all together. I chose to wait it out and see how the weather turns. My DH had to go in to the office. Today also happens to be trash day. Rob always takes the trash out...except for today. WTH? Our steps outside are solid ice. How am I supposed to get the trash out? It has to go out, I just cleaned out the fridge!

I did it the white trash way! I stood at the top of our steps and HEAVED the bag. I must say, I'm a pretty good shot. I could make it to the Olypmics if they had a trash throwing event. The best part....the outfit I wore while doing this. Below are the steps. You can see the patch of grass by the driveway - this is where the bag goes.

The white areas are the ice that has bubbled from the salt...the dark wet areas are pure ice. Now, don't think I'm a total wimp or anything. I've tackled these steps in the winter before. This time, however, I'm 15 weeks pregnant and those rails are covered in ice as well. There is not managing them this time around. So, for the wonderful outfit that makes this 'white trash'....

Yes, I stood outside on the step with my bulging preggo belly in my pink fuzzy roab with my UGGS on, throwing a trash bag. Ahh, to not care what your neighbors think is so liberating!

Yikes! Way behind on updating this blog. I've been posting on another 'special' location that I will link to at a later date...

I spent the weekend with Dana, Bert and Hannah in Cleveland. Finally! I got to meet my little skittle. We had a great time. She didn't even spit-up on me once! We had a wonderful little chat after dinner on Saturday night. Hannah has much to say and she does so in such a calm, soft tone - how can you not listen?!

She furrows her brow a lot...more like constantly. Dana says she is very intense and intelligent but she'll have to invest in botox by age 13 if she doesn't loosen up some!

Can't wait to see them again!!!!
